Future look for IIoT in manufacturing
With implementation of Industry 4.0 solutions, the Internet, Cloud-based platforms, SAP, all can be integrated to form a smart industry which will improve the productivity, efficiency, quality to a great extent, observes C. Rajesh, Sr. Manager, KOMET Precision Tools India Pvt Ltd. He adds, “The industry will produce more with less space, less machinery, less manpower.”
Industries that will drive IIoT adoption
Cutting tools industry has implemented IIoT and using in their own plant to increase efficiencies. Also the industry such as robotics and automation, processing plants have to look forward for implementation to reap more benefits.
All data is first stored on the internal storage (stored for 10 days). If ToolScope is connected to the company network, the data is accessible via the network. The process data can be stored as a *.csv or*.png file.
• Storing of process data via network – push on a company server or a network drive
• Remote maintenance interface offers global accessibility if required
• Automatic backup function stores saved data on a secure medium.
KOMET’s preparedness in the area of IIoT
“We are prepared; we have implemented the same in our shop floor. KOMET has developed ToolScope into a comprehensive assistance system for machining production. It contains several apps, which harnesses recorded machine production and process data for the user in a simple manner,” asserts Rajesh.
