First Energy Private Limited (FEPL), a Thermax subsidiary through its brand ‘Oorja’ has partnered with an eco-friendly car care company, Refreshed Car Care (Revive Labs Private Limited), to introduce as team-based car cleaning solution. The scope includes the supply of agro-waste pellet-fired boilers, a clean alternative to fossil fuels, which would optimise costs, reduce carbon footprint and save up to 95 per cent water. The first such cleaning station has been setup by Landmark Group at Ahmedabad, one of the largest automotive networks in India.
Sriram Vishwanathan, Director at First Energy Private Ltd, said, “For FEPL, this is a step in the right direction, leveraging our leadership in the energy and environment space by foraying into the consumer segment with green solutions. The combination of green energy, reduction in water consumption and waste water makes this a holistic environment-friendly solution.”
“Through this partnership, Refreshed is set to provide manifold benefits such as high quality cleaning through our product range, space optimisation, hygienic cleaning and reduced carbon footprint. In India, automotive workshops are estimated to undertake over 60 million car washes a year, utilising approximately 2.5 billion litres of water, which can be conserved by shifting to steam-based cleaning, where our solution is a major leap in conserving scarce resources”, said Chirag Shah, Founder of Refreshed.
