New Truflo plant begins trial production

Truflo by Hindware has inaugurated its new ₹170 crore manufacturing plant in Roorkee, boosting capacity and reach across North and West India.

Truflo by Hindware, one of India’s fastest-growing brands in the plastic pipes and fittings sector, has announced the inauguration of its new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Roorkee, Uttarakhand. With this, trial production at the plant is now underway.

This strategic expansion marks a significant milestone for Truflo, as the Roorkee facility becomes the company’s third manufacturing plant, aimed at meeting the rising demand for high-quality plastic piping solutions across the country. The plant was inaugurated by Sandip Somany, Chairman, Somany Impresa Group, along with Shashvat Somany, Strategy Head, Somany Impresa Group.

Built with an investment of approximately ₹170 crore, the new facility is designed to deliver an initial production capacity of 12,500 tonnes per annum (TPA). Its location is set to boost Truflo’s manufacturing and distribution efficiency across North and West India. With this addition, the company’s total annual production capacity, including the Sangareddy plant, will reach 80,500 TPA, strengthening its overall operational footprint.

The Roorkee plant will produce a wide range of CPVC, UPVC, SWR, and PVC pipes and fittings, as well as overhead water storage tanks. The facility is expected to create around 200 direct and indirect employment opportunities, supporting the local economy.

Speaking at the inauguration, Sandip Somany stated, “I am proud to see our vision for expanded capacity taking shape with the commencement of trial production at Roorkee. Achieving this within seven years of setting up our first plant in Sangareddy highlights the dedication of our team. This new facility enhances our production strength and reinforces our commitment to delivering top-quality products, further establishing Truflo’s leadership in the plastic pipes and fittings market.”
