With a background in Electronics Engineering and over three decades of experience, he has been involved in setting up manufacturing operations and supply chains for technology-intensive product lines, particularly in the telecom sector. Agarwal has led several greenfield projects, including those for manufacturing telecom optical fibres, automated teller machines, mobile phones, and various telecom communication equipment and devices.
