How 20% to 70% energy can be saved in any aeration system achieving results:

In any biological Aeration System apart from oxygen transfer, mixing efficiency is also equally important.

The efficiency of the oxygen transfer along with the mixing efficiency in Environ Energy Efficient Aerators (EEEA) is more compared to the mechanical OR any other aeration available in the market. Environ in their R & D facility had taken the trials of the oxygen transfer efficiency along with the mixing efficiency at different RPM of impellers & concluded that the suitable RPM for the aerator impellers for maximum oxygen transfer efficiency along with the maximum mixing efficiency can be achieved with 100 RPM impellers. So, EEEA impellers are provided with 100 RPM. No other manufacturer in India is providing the aerators with 100 RPM.

Secondly, the EEEA impellers are provided with Dual Impeller design. The functioning of the Dual Impeller is like:

• Top impeller is provided for maximum oxygen transfer.
• The additional bottom impeller (Mixer) is provided for thorough mixing. It works as a mixer & the mixing load in Aeration tank is taken by the mixer, so energy required for mixing is distributed & no load (energy) for mixing to the Top impeller is given, secondly due to thorough mixing Vortex is formed & the air from the Top of Aeration Tank is sucked & the Air is mixed in the whole Aeration Tank hence, the oxygen transfer efficiency of the Aerator is increased & with lesser HP more oxygen transfer efficiency is achieved, hence energy saving. Secondly, due to the bottom impeller, the whole mask is mixed thoroughly. As the bottom Impeller design is of mixer which can create vortex up to higher depths of 5.5 meters SWD in the aeration tank.

‘Environ’ Make Energy Efficient Aerators There are TWO Types of Aerators manufactured by ENVIRON:

• Fixed Type Slow Speed Energy Efficient Aerators – from 2HP to 150HP ratings.
• Floating Type Slow Speed Energy Efficient Aerators – from 2HP to 100HP ratings.

1. Fixed Type Slow Speed Energy Efficient Surface Aerators

Years of intensive Research & Development have accomplished the development of the ‘Energy Efficient Aerator’. The result is a sturdy unit which combines high oxygenation efficiency with thorough mixing and propulsion of the influence to disperse the oxygen throughout the whole mass of the effluent zone.

Special Features

• Fabricated & machined Base Frame for 5HP to 15HP ratings & for 20HP & above Heavy ISMB Beam Base is provided. So, vibrations are lessened. So, the life of the Gearbox is increased.
• Cantilevered load reaction is passed through additional bearings & housing to Bottom of the Beam Base & to RCC platform. So, gear is not at all affected by overhung load.
• Additional Bearing Support is provided to the Aerator Shaft, so the unbalanced cantilevered loads are ‘Not’ passed to the output shaft of the Gearbox, but those loads are taken by ‘Two Extra’ bearings & housing.
• Amply designed MS FULLY MACHINED Solid Shaft to take care of heavy cantilevered, unbalanced, & torsional loads, supported on Two numbers heavy duty antifriction bearings housed in heavy-duty cast-iron bearing housing.
• N.B.: Tubular Shaft in Aerators with Helical Gears are provided.
• Impeller is designed as single shrouded pump Impeller to achieve maximum Oxygen Transfer & Mixing efficiency. Being a Semi open type Impeller, it has got a very valuable features of self-cleaning. Secondly, the Impeller is machined at centre for its concentric running
• New Generation of EEEA having the special unique feature of Additional Impeller at the Bottom for better mixing at the floor level of Aeration Tank having total tank Water Depth up to 5.5m. Secondly, less area is required due to water depth of 5.5m. civil construction cost& the space required will be less hence economical.
• Greaves / Elecon Worm reduction Gears (or helical gears only if asked for) having suitable service factor are offered. Secondly, maintenance of the gearbox is minimal & handling is easier, as the extra Bearings are provided to the Impeller Shaft.

2. Floating Type Slow Speed Energy Efficient Aerators

They are sturdy, vibration less, having higher influence zone & can also cater higher depths as compared to High-Speed Floating Aerators.

Not affected by Hydraulic level variation in Aeration Tank, High Mixing rate along with higher Oxygen Transfer Efficiency. Easy to install, easy to operate & No RCC Platform required. Flexibility of position change of Aerators & insertion of new Aerators for increased load in Aeration Tank, in case of expansion.

• New Generation of Energy Efficient Aerators with Specially designed Impellers. Offered for SIDE WATER DEPTH up to 6.0 metres. Aeration Tanks.

Construction Features

Electric Motor, Gear Reducer, Base, Shaft, Impeller & Couplings are same of both types of Aerators (Fixed & Floating Aerators).

Floats

PU Filled FRP Lined (for 10HP & above ratings) ISO Resins are used in FRP Lining as standard OR SS-304, SS-316 Construction can also be provided, if required, with necessary hooks for mooring Nylon ropes.
