BKT at ConMacBKT considers North-East part of India as one of their major potential markets. In an aim to enhance its foothold in this market, BKT is going to participate in forthcoming ConMac exhibition.
ConMac, the 1st edition on construction equipment exhibition for the North-East region is scheduled between 27th, 28th February and 1st March at Maniram Dewan Center, Guwahati. “BKT, being the event sponsor, plans to display its world-class radial range of OTR tyres at ConMac. Our stall is expected to be ‘the show stopper’ at this event,” informs Rajiv Poddar, Joint Managing Director, BKT.

As of today, BKT has four functioning state-of-the-art manufacturing plants spread across India. Currently the company provides over 2,300 different SKUs (Stock Keeping Units) for various kinds of applications. It has products from 5-inch to 54-inch rim diameter for vehicles ranging from trailers, forklifts, etc. to technologically advanced machines like high horsepower tractors, combines, harvesters, GPS controlled vehicles, articulated dump trucks, high-speed cranes, sophisticated port vehicles and container handlers etc.
BKT’s Bhuj plantThe manufacturing plant at Bhuj, Gujarat is the 4th manufacturing unit set up by BKT in India. Introducing the plant Mr Poddar says, “We have invested over a half billion dollar in this plant. This is a huge plant spread across 300 acres and with the most modern machinery ever used in production in India. The plant will enhance our total capacity by 75 per cent.”
“There are plans being made to modify the Bhuj plant and extend its production capacity to the level of 2,80,000 metric tonnes,” adds Mr Poddar. “This is made possible by the use of the most advanced machinery till date in the industry and intense R&D by the BKT engineers.”
