According to a new market research laser technologies, components and its applications market globally is expected to reach $19.88 billion by 2017 at a CAGR of 19.2 per cent from 2012 to 2017. India, as a fast moving and developing country, has emerged as a key market and driving force for manufacturing and other industries that can make India the next Technology Hub for Lasers.
Seeing the potential of India to expand and develop in the Laser and photonics industry, MMI India came up with the event Laser World of Photonics India 2012 which will provide a networking platform for the Indian & International LASER and photonics industry. The event will take place from 14 to 16 September at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregoan, Mumbai.
The event is supported by associations like the Indian Laser Association (ILA), Optical Society of India (OSI), Photonics Society of India (PSI), Automation Industry Association and more.

Laser offers precision with quick process turnaround. The advantages far outweigh the manual processes. Laser welding provides high productivity and small amount of down-time compared to other forms of welding processes. With over 110 leading global and Indian companies showcasing their advanced laser and photonics equipment and technology and with pavilions ranging from countries like China, Germany, Japan and Lithuania, will be part of this unique networking platform for the laser and photonics industry in India.
A special highlight will be the “Seminar on Laser Basics and Applications”, scheduled on 14th September.
