Surya Roshini as part of its ongoing expansion plans pumps in Rs. 550 crores in the new state of the art manufacturing facility. The expansion which is expected to facilitate 6000 new jobs has been inaugurated by Chief Minister of Uttarkhand Dr. Ramesh Pokhariyal Nishank at Udaipur. Out of the Rs. 550 crores investment plans, Rs. 100 crores is being invested in this plant to manufacture T5 Lamps, CFL, FTL, PCB, HID and PVC Pipes. These plants have been equipped with the most advanced machinery which has been imported from Japan, U.S., Theydon of Austria and other countries from reputed world class manufacturers. The tube lights manufactured at the plant will be of the best quality and will save 85% electricity. Surya is one of the largest lighting companies in India having highest volume of sales in many of the States of India with more than 25% all India market share. Surya Roshni group has been serving customers for over 35 years. The group has five manufacturing units in its fold. The two units situated in Uttarakhand & Gwalior are produce lighting products like Tube Lights, GLS & CFL lamps, HPSV/ Metal Halide Lamps. The rest three are steel pipe units situated in Bahadurgarh – Haryana, Bhuj – Gujarat and Gwalior – M.P. The company is also setting up one of the best High Mast Lighting & Poles factory at Gwalior and a state-of-the-art ‘Lighting Laboratory’ and R & D centre at Noida.
