Mitsubishi Electric launches new range of factory automation products

MEI has introduced a new range that includes L-series Compact PLCs, the FX-3GE and FX-3S range of Micro PLCs, the J4 and JE servo motor and amplifiers and industrial robots
Mitsubishi Electric India Private Limited (MEI), a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, Japan has unveiled a range of high-end factory automation products for the Indian market.
MEI, one of the leaders in the factory automation segment, has introduced a new range that includes Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) known as L-series Compact PLCs, the FX-3GE and FX-3S range of Micro PLCs, the futuristic and energy efficient J4 and JE Servo Motor and Amplifiers and Industrial robots.
MEI offers the factory automation through products which are high in performance, efficiency, quality and capabilities necessary for India’s demanding machine automation requirements. The products would enable machine manufacturers as well as end-users to handle complex automation requirements by improving productivity with enhanced safety, while simultaneously guaranteeing ease of operation at the same time. These features describe the MEI catchphrase; ‘Take it Easy’.
According to the company, the new product range is expected to generate incremental business of Rs. 500 million within next 2 years. While the new product range is expected to meet the growing needs of original equipment manufacturers in the country; it marks just the beginning of MEI’s aggressive growth path in India.
Technical specificationsL Series Plc“Little in Size, Large on Performance” is the latest buzz from Mitsubishi Electric India which launched its latest range of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), “The L Series”.
The L series motion control module provides high-speed, high-precision fibre optic motion control of up to 4 and 16 axis per module over Mitsubishi Electric’s SSCNETIII servo controller network. Other motion capabilities include cam function, phase compensation, mark detection and 600 points of user-defined positioning data.
Additionally, the L Series also offers,• A two-colour, four-line display option which can be used for troubleshooting and monitoring without laptop or software • System maintenance functions directly from GOT • One gigabit CC-Link IE Field slave head station module which can be interfaced like a remote i/o station making the product more suitable for distributed i/o architecture.
Melservo J4The MELSERVO MR-J4 series servo systems have been designed around three key concepts, ‘Man, Machine & Environment in Perfect Harmony’ which offer the machine builder a platform to build the next generation, energy efficient, high performance machines coupled with safety features to make them best in their class.
The MELSERVO MR-J4 series introduces servo amplifiers and motor from 50W to 11kW, with inbuilt capability to drive linear motors, direct drive motors, fully closed loop systems, enabling shorter delivery time and greater configuration flexibility for users. All servo amplifiers launched are with integrated safety with the SIL 2 CAT 3 compatible Safe Torque Off (STO) functionality and Safe Speed 1 (ST1) functionality as a user option.  The MR-J4WxB servo amplifiers can drive multi axes, up-to 3, from a single amplifier unit saving energy, panel space and wiring costs and time.
MR-J4 series can cater to the needs of simple to complex motor applications using L series Simple Motion Module and the next generation iQ platform motion controllers.
