Solitaire is developing innovative interactive technology solutions to make it more seamless and future-ready for enterprises adopting hybrid work models. Dr. Ramya Chatterjee, Chief of Solitaire Brand Business and CEO & Director of Prointek Global Innovations, discusses the company’s rapid expansion and its commitment to sustainability.
Solitaire has been expanding rapidly. With a new manufacturing plant in Noida, how are you integrating sustainable practices in production, supply chain management, and energy consumption?
Brand Solitaire has been expanding rapidly, and the commissioning of our new manufacturing plant in Greater Noida marks a significant milestone in our growth journey. Our long-term vision emphasises sustainability as a crucial pillar, but there is still much work to be done in this area.
We are in the early stages of integrating eco-friendly practices across our production, supply chain, and energy consumption. On the production front, we have adopted lean manufacturing techniques to reduce waste and improve efficiency. Our facility is equipped with energy-efficient machinery, and we are gradually working with our component suppliers to explore recycled and eco-certified materials wherever feasible.
In supply chain management, we are beginning to optimise logistics to reduce carbon emissions, which includes shipment consolidation, evaluating the use of electric vehicles for local deliveries, and aligning with partners who share our sustainability goals. We intend to power part of our Greater Noida facility with solar energy and plan to implement smart energy monitoring systems to track and improve consumption. We are actively exploring various green initiatives to support this transition.
Sustainability is not a checkbox – it’s a continuous journey. Solitaire is committed to incorporating responsible practices into every step of its growth story, despite the progress made thus far, and is aware of the work ahead.
Solitaire is investing in AI/ML technologies. Can you highlight specific AI-driven features being integrated into your Interactive Flat Panels to enhance learning and corporate engagement?
Solitaire is making significant strides in integrating AI/ML technologies into our Interactive Flat Panels (IFPDS) to enhance learning and corporate collaboration experiences. At the heart of this innovation is our Generative AI-powered Digital Canvas Pro software, which runs seamlessly on Android and Windows platforms. It offers smart content generation, real-time transcription and translation, AI-assisted note enhancement, a built-in interactive assistant, visual recognition with intelligent image tagging, and engagement analytics to provide actionable insights during sessions. These features empower educators, trainers, and professionals to collaborate more efficiently and deliver more impactful experiences.
We’re keen to introduce Solitaire U-Mind, a new AI-enhanced learning and productivity suite, bundled with the Solitaire R Series and Solitaire Extreme Series IFPDS, extending our vision of intelligent, future-ready digital environments. In Solitaire’s unified communication product lines, we have extensively integrated AI-based gesture control to simplify interactions and make the user experience more intuitive and engaging.
What do you see as the most significant challenges and opportunities in the global interactive technology market, especially for manufacturers?
The global interactive technology market presents exciting opportunities and complex challenges, especially for manufacturers. On one hand, the surge in demand for hybrid learning, remote collaboration, and digital transformation across education, corporate, and government sectors is creating immense opportunities for innovation in interactive displays, software ecosystems, and AI-driven solutions.
Manufacturers who can provide integrated, scalable, and user-centric experiences stand to gain market share. However, the challenges are equally significant. In emerging markets like India, cut-throat competition and severe margin erosion are ongoing concerns, making it increasingly difficult for manufacturers to sustain quality while remaining cost-effective.
Additionally, frequent changes in government policies and fluctuations in customs duty tariffs in some countries are impacting “education affordable to all” initiatives, putting pressure on public sector procurement and accessibility. Beyond these, Manufacturers must navigate global supply chain disruptions, rising component costs, and the need for continuous innovation in a saturated market.
Balancing affordability with cutting-edge features, ensuring interoperability, and addressing diverse user needs are critical to long-term success. Winning in this space will require agility, deep R&D focus, and holistic value-driven ecosystems, not just standalone hardware solutions.
As enterprises increasingly adopt hybrid work models, what innovations is Solitaire developing to make interactive technology more seamless and future-ready?As enterprises increasingly embrace hybrid work models, innovating to make interactive technology more seamless, collaborative, and future-ready. We are creating intelligent, integrated ecosystems that go beyond traditional hardware. We’re enhancing our Interactive Flat Panels (IFPDS) with AI-powered features such as Digital Canvas Pro, a generative AI-enabled platform designed to make brainstorming, presentations, and remote collaboration more dynamic and intuitive.
It includes real-time transcription, multilingual translation, note summarisation, and a built-in AI assistant to streamline meeting productivity. In addition, we’ve introduced Solitaire U-Mind, a next-gen software suite bundled with our Solitaire R Series and Solitaire Extreme IFPDS, aimed at bridging physical-digital collaboration gaps with interactive tools, engagement analytics, and cloud integration.
AI-based gesture control is being integrated into our communication products, enabling users to manage calls, presentations, and sessions in a contactless, intuitive manner, ideal for modern workspaces. Our roadmap includes deeper integration with enterprise productivity tools, enhanced wireless casting capabilities, and advanced security features to support secure and flexible hybrid workflows. At Solitaire, we’re committed to empowering the future of work with smarter, connected, and adaptive interactive solutions.
Many businesses have unique AV needs. How does Solitaire offer tailored interactive panel solutions for different industries, such as BFSI, healthcare, and retail?
At Solitaire, we understand that different industries have unique AV requirements, and a one-size-fits-all approach doesn’t work in today’s fast-evolving business environment. Interactive Flat Panel (IFPD) solutions are modular, customisable, and application-focused, catering to specific verticals like BFSI, healthcare, and retail.
In the BFSI sector, where secure communication, real-time data visualisation, and collaboration are key, Solitaire IFPDS come equipped with enterprise-grade security features, multi-user collaboration tools, and seamless integration with banking software and conferencing platforms.
Our panels also support digital whiteboarding and touchscreen-based financial modelling, making branch-level customer engagement and internal strategy sessions more efficient. For the healthcare industry, our solutions focus on touchless operation, hygiene-friendly design, and AI-enhanced image sharing for case discussions and remote diagnostics. With our Solitaire U-Mind and gesture-control-enabled unified communication tools, medical professionals can conduct remote consultations, training, or patient education sessions without physical contact, enhancing safety and productivity. In the retail domain, the focus shifts to customer engagement, dynamic content display, and intuitive interaction.
Solitaire IFPDS is a smart digital signage system that integrates with CRM and inventory systems, enabling retailers to centrally manage content, update content, and provide a data-driven customer experience.
Ultimately, it’s our ability to co-create solutions with industry stakeholders – combining hardware, software, and customisation – that enables Solitaire to deliver meaningful value. Whether it’s integrating specific APIS, designing content workflows, or enabling analytics, we pride ourselves on building tailored, scalable, and future-proof AV ecosystems for every sector we serve.
Solitaire mentions a strong commitment to quality standards. How do you see this commitment evolving as you expand into new markets and technologies?
