Bharat Forge plans to set up a ring mill for aerospace segment

Bharat Forge Ltd. (BFL) plans to set a ring mill by 2026. This facility will manufacture different components for the aerospace segment. The move has been taken after signing a contract with Pratt & Whitney, Canada.

BFL will soon set up a ring mill for aerospace applications. This new facility will specialize in producing high-performance components for aero-engines.  The facility will leverage cutting-edge technologies and comply with international standards for quality assurance. It will be established as a part of the company’s long-term vision of scaling the manufacturing capabilities. This move follows after BFL signs a contract with Pratt & Whitney, Canada. The mill will start running by 2026. The alliance further intends to support the aerospace supply chain.

After signing of the contract, Amit Kalyani, Vice-Chairman of BFL, said, “We are excited to deepen our strategic relationship with Pratt & Whitney Canada through the establishment of this new ring mill. It not only reinforces our commitment to the global aerospace ecosystem but also marks a significant step in advancing India’s manufacturing capabilities in high-value aerospace components.”
