August 21, 2015 2:21 pm

NTTF is complimenting the Government of India’s ‘Skilling India’ initiatives and training the manpower for the past five decades
Nettur Technical Training Foundation (NTTF), an ISO 9001 certified educational foundation established in 1963, is the symbol of Indo-Swiss cooperation aimed at promoting vocational technical education for the youth of India.   NTTF today is recognised by the industry segments across India for their skilled manpower requirements. Renowned companies like Boeing India, Siemens Limited and CISCO have retained NTTF as the “Training Partner” for imparting latest skills that are needed by the highly demanding aviation, automation and IT sectors respectively. Many leading industries have partnered with NTTF and provided excellent infrastructure support for running our training programs.
NTTF is governed by a board of leading industrialists. With the strength of over 800 faculties, the foundation implements technical programs through more than 20 training centres located pan India. All the courses are industry-focused and the curriculum are updated and revamped by a council of eminent personalities representing academics and industry.
Over past five decades it has trained over 40,000 students. The institution has an enviable track record of industry placement (more than 98 per cent) of its technicians and engineers both in India and abroad. Few of them have turned out to be successful entrepreneurs across the globe.
NTTF is currently serving the society through the following key verticals: • Long-term core programs (6 months to 3 years, certificate/ diploma/ post-diploma/ postgraduate levels) • Vocational skill development programs (3 months to one year) • ‘Learn and Earn’ training programs (AICTE’s National Employability Enhancement Mission)• Corporate Training Programs (industry-customised skill upgradation programs) • Other skill development initiatives (partnered with NSDC and state governments).
Long-term core programs  NTTF is imparting full time long term technical training programs in India for the Indian youth particularly in the core areas of: Electronics, Electrical & Electronics, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Mechatronics, Quality Engineering & Management, Plant Engineering,  Tool & Die Making, Technical Skills, Manufacturing Technology, Tool Design, Tool Engineering, and Product Design and Engineering.   All these programs are delivered with 65 per cent practical training and 35 per cent class room training.
Vocational skill development programs  NTTF is associated with leading industries and few state governments for delivering many vocational skill development courses for the benefit of rural and tribal youth. Some of those are Tata Steel, JSW Steels, Kerala government, Himachal Pradesh government and many other corporates across India.
Under this vertical, NTTF offers following key skills:  • Machining (conventional and CNC) • Maintenance – mechanical/ electrical/ electronics • Metrology  • Metal joining techniques (eg. Welding)  • Electronic assembly & testing  • Civil construction techniques  • Industrial safety  • Information technology basics  • Computer hardware and networking.
‘Learn and Earn’ training programs   NTTF’s “Learn and Earn” training model is a structured skill development programme and has much similarity to the Germany’s “Dual Vocational Education” system. This program bridges the gap of shortage in skilled manpower for the industries. This unique custom-built long-term, on-the-job training program is rolled out in association with manufacturing industries, which enables a trainee to acquire quality technical education, while earning.   NTTF is approved under AICTE – National Employability Enhancement Mission (NEEM), Regulations 2013 as a NEEM agent. This program is conducted as per AICTE, NEEM regulations partnering with the industries.
At the end of the training, students have options to join any industry. The course curriculum is customised and jointly developed by the Institute and Industry. Over 1,500 trainees are on rolls undergoing this program across India. Some of the partner industries are: • Ashok Leyland Ltd., Pantnagar, Uttarakhand  • Saint Gobain, Sriperumbudur, TN  • Real Talent Engineering, Chennai  • Taegutec, Guhring, Komet, Bengaluru  • Rane Engine Valve Ltd, Bengaluru and Tumakuru• Wipro Infrastructure Engineering, Chennai and Bengaluru• Kirloskar Toyota Textile Machinery Pvt Ltd,  Jigani, Bengaluru  • Varroc group, Aurangabad, MH  • ACE Group of companies • Tube Products of India, Chennai• Rossell Techsys, Whitefield, Bengaluru• Schneider Electric India, Bengaluru  • India Piston Rings, Chennai.    Corporate training programs (customised to industry needs) Leveraging its many training centres pan India, NTTF conducts customised short- and long-term corporate training programs for skilling up the employees of industries. NTTF offers tailor-made skill development modules in soft skills, functional skills and technical skills as defined by the industries.
Today, NTTF regularly conducts tailor-made training programs for more than 150 industries across India. Annually, more than 15,000 employees get the benefits from NTTF’s many skill upgradation modules in both automotive and non-automotive fields.   Other skill development initiatives  NTTF is partnered with NSDC (National Skill Development Corporation). NTTF has also registered with many Sector Skill Councils (SSCs). As a training provider, NTTF will be rolling out many skill development programmes for the benefit of youth to make them employable.  The other activities are: facilitating the faculty base of engineering institutions for up-grading their teaching or pedagogical skills through Training of Trainers (TOT) programs.
