Ziehl-Abegg expands executive board; appoints Dr Klaus Weiß

Ziehl-Abegg has appointed another member to its Executive Board to further strengthen its team.
  Dr Klaus Weiß has been appointed as an addition to the existing three-member Executive Board. “We are pleased to inform you that we have been able to find an ‘all-rounder’ with many years’ experience in our industry,” the company said issuing a statement. 
Dr Klaus is completed his engineering studies at the Technical University Karlsruhe, specialising in fluid kinetic machinery and manufacturing technology. He then did his PhD at the Turbo Engine Faculty of the Technical University Darmstadt. 
Dr Klaus has been in charge of various international production sites, for example at pumps manufacturer WILO SE and industrial fittings manufacturer EBRO ARMATUREN GmbH. “I am pleased to be bringing this experience to bear in ZIEHL-ABEGG at such an important time,” says Dr Klaus. “Working together with the many employees we will continue to expand the global production network.”  
The company statement adds, “We see ourselves as a customer-orientated company which is moving away from business division structures in its orientation and turning towards a clear, function-based organisation.’
