The Series3 Angular Encoders underscores Fagor Automation’s dedication to research and development, strengthening its role as a leading global provider of linear and angular encoders. Renowned for producing high-performance closed angular encoders, Fagor Automation encoders help obtain components with outstanding aesthetic and dimensional quality. 

This new product line includes models such as the H3-D90, H3-D110, H3D200i100, and S3-D90, with external diameters ranging from 90 mm to 200 mm and internal diameters up to 100 mm. A standout in the lineup is the H3-D90, recognised as the only model on the market with a resonance frequency exceeding 1500Hz. The H3-D110 has a 110 mm external diameter and 35mm internal diameter, expanding the size range previously offered and adding more flexibility and design options for machinery and equipment.

Within the series, the H3B-D90 is also available with Functional Safety certification for applications up to SIL 2 (ISO 13849-1:2015) or PL “d” (IEC 61508:2010), making it an ideal choice for safety-critical environments.

A key feature of the H3 Angular Encoders is its reduced mass, achieved through advanced materials, and an enhanced liquid evacuation system for hollow shafts. The encoders also feature a new design with engravings and wide mounting tolerances, simplifying installation across all models. The hollow shaft variants include options for mounting with mechanical failure exclusion, enhancing reliability in demanding applications.

The H3 An, with its smooth, repeatable, and precise machine control, delivers exceptional performance with arcsecond-level accuracy, resolutions up to 29 bits, and integrated electronics. The H3 Angular Encoders employ 3STATECH, Fagor Automation’s technology, for optimal performance even in challenging working conditions. This advanced optical system detects discrepancies, discards invalid data, and accurately calculates the correct position using a new optoelectronic reading assembly and sophisticated software.

Further enhancing durability, the hollow shaft encoders are also fitted with improved O-ring seals, which boost robustness and reduce maintenance costs throughout their lifespan by minimising liquid ingress.
