Honeywell and Enel North America partner to create automation solutions

Honeywell and Enel North America are collaborating to improve building automation and demand response solutions for commercial and industrial organisations. The partnership aims to reduce blackouts and grid failures, increase revenue, and control energy loads.

Honeywell has announced a collaboration with Enel North America (“Enel”) to improve building automation and demand response solutions for commercial and industrial organisations by leveraging automation to control and regulate energy loads to help stabilise the power grid.

Enel North America and Honeywell work together to help organisations effortlessly integrate demand response programmes into their facilities while increasing operational efficiency. Customers can now use automated demand response solutions from Enel’s entire energy portfolio to assist avert blackouts and grid failures in their communities during peak use periods.

“There is a growing need for energy capacity that can respond on short notice to ensure grid stability,” said Hamed Heyhat, President of Honeywell Smart Energy & Thermal Solutions (SETS). “Through our partnership with Enel North America, we are addressing these challenges directly by offering customers ready-now solutions that not only simplify the integration process but also help deliver tangible benefits in terms of efficiency, cost savings, and grid reliability.”

This strategic alliance brings together Enel’s significant experience as a global leader in demand response with Honeywell’s recognised automation technologies to give customers with an offering that improves energy efficiency, flexibility, and revenue generation potential. It also helps Honeywell integrate its portfolio with three compelling megatrends: automation, the future of aviation, and energy transformation.
