Global technology unites Indian manufacturing at HTF + CWE 2025 in Mumbai
By Staff Report September 27, 2025 11:57 am IST
HTF + CWE 2025, co-located with IMEX and UMEX, will be held from September 27–29, 2025 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, bringing together over 150 global brands, exhibitors from 10 countries, and over 8,000 industry visitors to showcase the latest in tools, machinery, and welding technology.
Informa Markets India will host the 23rd Hand Tools & Power Tools Expo (HTF) and the 14th International Exhibition on Cutting and Welding Materials (CWE), which will be co-located to create India’s most comprehensive B2B platform for the industrial tools and welding ecosystem. These will also include exhibits from the International Machine Tools Expo (IMEX) and the Used Machinery Expo (UMEX).
Leading exhibitors from 10 nations will be present at the shows, which are set for September 27–29, 2025, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC), Mumbai. It is anticipated that over 8,000 people from India and beyond would attend. Over the years, HTF and CWE have established themselves as go-to locations for manufacturers, distributors, and technology leaders, providing a comprehensive picture of the innovations that are defining the foundation of modern industry.
Global participation and live demonstrations
The event will include more than 150 brands with foreign pavilions from China, Taiwan, South Korea, and Germany over the course of three exciting days. From precision-engineered hand tools and cutting-edge welding systems to automated machine tools and refurbished equipment, the show floor will showcase the whole range of manufacturing technology. Visitors may expect live demonstrations of cutting-edge welding automation, high-performance power tools, the introduction of industry-first machine tools and testing systems, and curated exhibitions of pre-owned machinery solutions designed to provide value to small and medium-sized businesses.
What distinguishes HTF + CWE is its capacity to service different audiences under one roof, including automotive and aerospace, construction, heavy engineering, and energy. Decision-makers may communicate directly with global innovators, while MSMEs and start-ups receive access to low-cost technology that can help them grow. Exclusive networking initiatives, such as the “Grip & Grow” distributors and OEMs meeting, will connect business leaders with partners and buyers, while technical seminars and workshops will focus on critical topics such as Industry 4.0 integration, advanced welding techniques, safety protocols, sustainability, and energy efficiency in manufacturing.
Knowledge exchange and strategic networking
Delegates will have access to dedicated product areas, carefully planned matchmaking events, and open seminars aimed at strengthening relationships between buyers and suppliers as the show progresses. The training tracks have been carefully designed to include not only technical insights, but also thoughts on regulatory trends, future worker skills, and the role of digitisation in manufacturing.
The final day will include recognitions for outstanding exhibitors and breakthrough ideas, as well as forward-thinking conversations about India’s Industry 4.0 readiness. A networking reception will bring together VIPs, exhibitors, and stakeholders, solidifying relationships made during the event and ensuring that collaborations continue beyond the show floor.
Speaking about the 2025 edition of HTF and CWE, Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, Informa Markets in India, said: “India is on the cusp of a manufacturing renaissance, with the sector projected to touch USD 1 trillion in the near term and grow to USD 1.5 trillion by 2030. The machine tools market alone is set to grow at over 11 percent CAGR, while the welding equipment industry is expected to reach nearly USD 2 billion by 2030. Platforms like HTF and CWE play a critical role in enabling this growth by connecting global innovators, technology providers, and business leaders under one roof. The strength of this edition lies in its diversity — from cutting-edge automation solutions to affordable tools for MSMEs — ensuring that the entire value chain benefits. As India pursues its ambition to emerge as a global manufacturing hub by 2030, these shows offer a unique opportunity to source advanced solutions, build strategic partnerships, and stay ahead of industry trends.”
Industry outlook
Infrastructure development, a booming automobile industry, and ongoing demand from heavy engineering and construction are all contributing to India’s industrial sector’s entry into a time of exceptional expansion. The Indian construction market alone, valued at more than USD 1 trillion in 2025, is predicted to treble by 2030, while the machine tool and welding equipment industries continue to rise at a rapid double-digit rate. Meanwhile, the power tool industry is expected to increase at a rate of over 8 percent per year through 2034, driven by demand from both experts and the burgeoning DIY segment.
Globally, the hand and power tools industry is expected to reach USD 45 billion by 2030, establishing India as both a large consumer and a rapidly growing exporter. With strong government efforts such as Make in India, combined with trillions of dollars in capital investment in trains, automobiles, and infrastructure, India is quickly emerging as a robust powerhouse that affects not only domestic demand but also global supply chains.
Against this backdrop, HTF + CWE 2025, along with IMEX and UMEX, aims to serve as transformational platforms where innovation drives excellence and collaboration propels industrial advancement.
