Make in India has raised confidence of local entrepreneurs

Post “Make in India” initiative launched, the confidence level of the local entrepreneurs has increased. The same has been reflected with the consumers who are opting locally manufactured goods to imported items. This has resulted in more investor turnout for Indian manufacturing units.
A significant increase in the number of start-ups has also been witnessed during the past one year or so. The government has enhanced support in terms of subsidies for Indian made goods and increased import duties which are positive steps for domestic manufacturers.
