DesignTech partners with Solidscape to launch advanced 3D Printers in India

DesignTech Systems Ltd has announced a strategic partnership with Solidscape, for the distribution of high precision 3D Printers for manufacturing of wax patterns in India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Maldives, Sri Lanka and Bhutan. According to the agreement, DesignTech will develop the infrastructure to support the expansion and adoption of 3D printing custom manufacturing solutions.

Solidscape 3D printers are known for their ability to produce ultra-fine feature details and are considered a premier technology for applications like custom jewellery manufacturing, high precision casting, and advanced biomedical research.

According to the 2016 Wohlers Report, the worldwide 3D printing industry is expected to grow from $8.8 billion in revenue in 2017 to $26.5 billion by 2021. India is emerging as a preferred global destination for product design, engineering and manufacturing, which makes it a strategically important country for 3D printing. The Indian government is focussing on building robust infrastructure to boost manufacturing and the manufacturing industry in India is also investing in upgrading their R&D facilities to match the global standards of excellence
