Being pivotal in bringing world-class, innovative handling solutions to the Indian market and gradually to its overseas clients, Fine Handling’s each product, system and project is focused on realisation of a singular goal and i.e. to enhance safety and productivity by multi-fold. Fine Handling works as a total solution provider for all lifting and handling needs.
Nilesh Karandikar, Managing Director of Fine Handling & Automation shares his views on the changes post ‘Make in India’ and the company’s initiatives in line with ‘Make in India’.
Awareness about possibilities & capabilitiesThe change is observed and experienced mainly in three areas post ‘Make in India’. Firstly, the awareness about the possibilities and capabilities of manufacturing sector in India. The buzz about manufacturing in India has begun to grow, like it happened for the IT services industry.
Secondly, the ease of doing business in India is improving significantly. It is visible in many areas, especially in import or export and lastly for fast growing technology companies in India, like Fine Handling & Automation, it makes access and launch on a global level easier.
Create awareness by making world-class productsThe key difference is in the brand awareness about India as a priority manufacturing destination. For specialised automation solution providers, there is no need to create awareness about India anymore. The greater awareness about India needs to be leveraged by providing proven, reliable designs, world-class product quality and on-time delivery. A systemic approach to solution building, by consciously moving away from ‘jugaad’ mentality, to guarantee a precision performance is the key to success in global markets.

Young population & stable government are driving investments in IndiaSeveral factors are converging to enhance India’s positioning for investors. Starting from being one of the few bright spots in the global economy to having one of the youngest population in the world, there are several aspects about India that make it attractive for investors. The other thing is governance. Stable government, long term policy paradigm and increasing transparency are driving the investments in India.
Several factors have to work in synchronisation‘Make in India’ is a mission. To succeed in any mission of such a large magnitude, several factors have to work in synchronisation. As of now, only some areas are seeing traction or green shoots. Availability of funding and support for specialised, technology-driven manufacturers with global market potential will go a long way in deciding the success of ‘Make in India’.
Commits to develop world-class solutionsFine Handling is focused on developing innovative pick and place solutions for various industries since the last ten years. It designs and manufactures specialised solutions (manipulators and grippers) for handling of many critical parts going into the automobile. Fine Handling commits to develop world-class solutions that set them apart.
Recently, it has started exporting its solutions to Japan. Fine Handling was invited to develop manipulators for assembly line of one of Japan’s biggest automotive manufacturer. What makes this export special is the fact that Fine Handling competed on a global level, and its solutions successfully met all the stringent benchmarks. Going ahead Fine Handling has plans to export its solutions to the European and the US markets. As Fine Handling moves forward with its mission to eliminate all the inefficiencies in pick and place processes, ‘Make in India’ give this mission a bigger stage.
