Technology doesn’t build a strong business – trust, responsiveness, and industry knowledge do

Marvel Machine Tools believes that technology alone doesn’t build a strong business—trust, responsiveness, and deep industry knowledge do. Anish Shah, Director of Marvel Machine Tools Pvt. Ltd., shares, “Our three-decade journey stands as a testament to this philosophy. We remain committed to shaping the future of Indian manufacturing through world-class machinery, local expertise, and unwavering customer support.”

With over three decades of experience, how has Marvel Machine Tools adapted to the changing needs of Indian manufacturers?

Founded in 1990, Marvel Machine Tools began its journey by supplying new indigenous machines to meet the foundational needs of Indian manufacturers. However, as the industry evolved and global standards advanced, we identified a critical gap: manufacturers needed access to high-end technology without the high costs associated with it. To bridge this, we pioneered the introduction of pre-owned machines from global brands, offering cutting-edge capabilities at affordable prices. This move helped us democratise advanced manufacturing for businesses of all sizes. Today, backed by one of India’s largest inventories, a highly skilled technical team, and a strong reputation for quality and service, we serve over 5,000 clients from MSMEs to major OEMs, while continuing to build long-term, value-driven partnerships.

What are some of the key advancements you’ve recently introduced in your press and deburring machines to meet evolving manufacturing challenges?

We’ve introduced several high-precision, servo-driven, and digitally enhanced machines to support the growing demand for high-speed, low-tolerance production. Among these, our range of imported straight-side double-crank presses and hydraulic power presses delivers exceptional performance in terms of stability, speed, and control. A standout in our offerings is the AIDA HMX series, globally recognised for its high-speed capabilities, superior rigidity, and low vibration, making it an ideal choice for precision stamping in automotive, electronics, and progressive tool applications. These advancements help our clients achieve greater throughput, enhanced part accuracy, and longer die life, resulting in higher operational efficiency. Our core focus remains on bringing global technology to Indian shop floors at affordable rates.

How do you ensure the imported machines align with Indian industry standards and production requirements?

Every imported machine undergoes a rigorous inspection and, when required, a reconditioning process before dispatch. We invest in customising controls, integrating local safety mechanisms, and offering on-site training for operators. Our service teams are available PAN-India for the quick resolution of any technical challenges. Our approach blends international technology with local practicality, a key reason clients trust us for mission-critical production needs.

How has demand shifted in recent years from conventional machinery to automated or digitally enabled machines?

The transformation has been swift. While earlier demand was driven purely by affordability, today’s clients prioritise efficiency, digital traceability, and reduced downtime. This has led to increased demand for servo presses, hydraulic presses with PLC control, and feeding systems with sensor-based automation. To support this transition, we have aligned our imports and partnerships, helping Indian manufacturers compete on a global scale.

How do you work with manufacturers to customise or fine-tune machines for specific production lines or materials?

We believe that all the production lines are different. Whether it’s adjusting press stroke and die height, modifying control panels, or integrating with existing feeding and conveyor systems, we work closely with plant managers and production engineers to deliver plug-and-play solutions that meet specific needs. Our in-house service team, combined with access to OEM spares, ensures long-term support even after installation. This client-centric approach is what makes us more than a supplier; we are a solutions partner.

What sectors are currently driving the demand for power presses and hydraulic press machines in India?

Sectors like automotive, home appliances, renewable energy, infrastructure, and defence manufacturing are major drivers. Additionally, emerging sectors such as EV manufacturing and battery casing production are creating new demand for precision pressing solutions. We have been proactive in supporting these industries with machines that offer higher cycle speeds, minimal maintenance, and adaptability to complex geometries.

What is Marvel Machine Tools’ roadmap for integrating Industry 4.0 technologies into your existing machine portfolio?

We see Industry 4.0 as a fundamental shift in how manufacturing will function in the next decade. Our roadmap includes partnering with global suppliers offering IoT-ready machines, retrofitting select machines with smart sensors and data capture tools, providing clients with predictive maintenance insights via cloud-based dashboards and training engineers in digital machine monitoring and analytics.

Ultimately, our goal is to democratise smart manufacturing, making Industry 4.0 accessible to large and mid-size Indian manufacturers.
