Technology Trends in Metal Forming | Panel Discussion | OEM Update Magazine

On April 24, 2024, at 4:00 PM, OEM Update organized a webinar on Technology Trends in Metal Forming. Metal forming and cutting processes were undergoing significant advancements, driven by technological innovations aimed at enhancing precision and efficiency in various applications. Integration of AI automation technology and machine learning algorithms into metal forming and cutting machinery was a happening trend. This enabled predictive maintenance, reduced downtime, and a rise in productivity.

Automation in metal cutting and forming was enhancing manufacturing. Computer-controlled systems executed complex designs with accuracy, reducing material waste and production time. Robotics offered speed in handling materials, minimizing the risk of errors. Overall, automation in metal cutting and forming was driving productivity, competitiveness, innovation, and continuous operation.

On that note, OEM Update hosted a virtual interactive session ‘Technology Trends in Metal Forming’ on April 24, 2024, from 4:00 to 5:30 PM IST. During this 90-minute session, industry experts discussed metal forming and cutting trends and how automation technologies and robotics contributed to these processes. The session explored software and tool monitoring, laser cutting, plasma cutting processes, and upskilling initiatives, thus maximizing machining performance.
