Aerpace leads defence innovation with AI-powered modular UAV platform

Aerpace Industries introduces aerShield, a UAV ecosystem for autonomous defence operations. Developed with partner companies, the system supports surveillance and strike missions using AI-powered drones.

Aerpace Industries Limited successfully built and tested India’s next-generation smart UAV ecosystem under the aerShield program in partnership with Aerpace Robotics Pvt Ltd, UAV Tech Pvt Ltd, and Leospear Defence Pvt Ltd.

AerOS, an AI-based autonomous drone control platform, powers the system. It allows for precise targeting, obstacle avoidance, mission execution, and real-time flight navigation with little assistance from humans. High-performance drones like the aerRecon ARM-5 (VTOL) and ARM-10 (STOL) and the aerReaper AMMO-R7, are part of the aerShield ecosystem.

Leospear Defence supplied advanced munitions integration, UAV Tech managed airframe and propulsion engineering, and Aerpace Robotics created the AI and flight software. Each partner made a core contribution.
