C&S Electric synchronises the 2nd PV Power Plant [Sep 2011]

C&S Electric Ltd., one of the leading and most reputed suppliers of electrical and electronic equipment that finds application in power generation, distribution, and control and also the largest exporter of industrial switchgear has added another feather to its cap of success. It has successfully synchronised the first ever 1 MWp Solar PV Power Plant in Bhiwani district of Haryana on June 28 and commenced export of power to the grid from the same date thereby becoming the second PV Power Plant on all India basis with the grid under MNRE RPSSGP programme of JNNSM. The annual power generation expected from this power plant is around 1.5 Million to 1.6 Million KWh and around 1,400 to 1,500 tons of Green House Gas Emission saving will accrue in a year. Complete power plant is efficiently constructed in approximately 5 acres of area. The estimated cost incurred including land is Rs. 14.5 crore.
With the launch of national solar mission, C&S Electric aims to participate in the national drive to add clean and green energy as a part of our country’s growing power generation capacity.
