KBL becomes First company in India to achieve the certifications for valves [September 9, 2011]

Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL), a global leading water management company has received the Factory Mutual (FM) certification for Gate Valves in the size range of 50 to 250 mm.
Factory Mutual (FM) is world’s premier third party testing and certification agency for fire protection and loss prevention products.
Manufactured at the state-of-the-art Kondhapuri Factory, KBL has now emerged as India’s first valve manufacturer to get the Certificate of Compliance from Factory Mutual for its fire service water control valves, which covers Outside Screw and Yoke and Non-rising Stem Gate Sluice valves in the size range of 50 to 250 mm. Besides these valves, industrial and waterworks valves up to the range of 5000 mm are / can be manufactured at Kondhapuri Factory.

With this certification, KBL is now enlisted on FM Global website in conjunction with Valves and Pump sets that have been approved by FM and are in adherence with usage guidelines.
