Odisha proposed upgradation of Rourkela airport

The Transport department has sent a proposal to the Airports Authority of India (AAI) to upgrade Rourkela airport for 4C 1 CAT IFR operation. The proposed master plan envisages expansion of the runway to 2,700 metre in length and 45 metre in width with doppler very high frequency omni range (DVOR) and CAT 1 ILS for operation of big body aircraft like Airbus 320B737 during day and night. AAI defines CAT 1 operation as a precision instrument approach and landing with a decision height not lower than 60 m (200 ft) and with either a visibility not less than 800 m or a runway visual range not less than 550 m. The expansion of the airport requires 278 acre of land of SAIL and 44 acre of private land.

AAI awarded Bihta airport project

Construction work for a new civil enclave at the Bihta Air Force station near Patna will commence soon as the Airports Authority of India (AAI) has issued a work order to a Russian company for the project, a Bihar govt official said here on Saturday. The Russian firm The Joint Stock Company Industrial Association Vozrozhdenie will not only build a new integrated terminal building but also the IT system. The total construction cost of the airport is ₹ 459 crore, which is 30.92 less than the estimated cost of ₹ 665 crore. Out of this, ₹ 438 crore will be spent on capital construction and ₹ 21 crore on operation and maintenance

Preparations for MMRs third airport near Palghar underway

GMR to invest investing ₹ 370 crore for cargo expansion

Dagadarthi airport will be ready by 2027

Chennai Airport phase-2 to open by March 2026

Current Status: Project Update

The phase 2 expansion work of Chennai International Airport is on fast track and efforts are being made to avoid another delay. According to the AAI, which began the works in 2018 at an estimated ₹ 2,467 crore, the objective was to enable the airport to handle 3.5 crore passengers a year, up from 2.3 crore at present. The works are spread over a 2.36 lakh square metre stretch. The project was planned in two phases. In the first phase, a new integrated terminal was constructed in a 1.36 lakh square metre stretch at ₹ 1,260 crore. As per the revised deadline, the second portion of the new integrated terminal will be ready by early 2026 and will be open to passengers by March.

Hindalco to invest ₹ 15,000 cr in Madhya Pradesh

Hindalco Industries has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Madhya Pradesh government to invest ₹ 15,000 crore over the next two years. And we will also be from the group side opening a large mine called Banda." Ultratech Cement to invest ₹ 1,800 crore in wires and cables

Mamnoor airport to be completed in 30 months

Hindalco to invest ₹ 45,000 crore in aluminium

HAL awarded ₹ 62,700-cr LCH contract from MoD

IHCL to build five-star hotel at Pushpabanta Palace

The Tripura government signed a MoU with the Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL), a part of the Tata Group, to set up a five-star hotel at Pushpabanta Palace with an investment of around Rs 250 crore. With this project, people from outside the state will visit, and it will also highlight the legacy of the Manikya Dynasty. The main aim is to boost tourism. Satellite townships to be developed with affordable housing
