Grundfos starts ‘Incredible Indian Pump Yatra’ in North India [Sep 2011]

Grundfos India, a subsidiary of Denmark based Grundfos – the largest pump manufacturer in the world, has come up with an innovative initiative, ‘The Incredible Indian Pump Yatra’, a fully equipped business lounge on wheels. It has a series of interactive displays of a wide range of industrial pumps from Grundfos.

The vehicle, with a floor space of 800 square feet will enable the visitors to gain hands-on experience on Grundfos products & solutions. While commenting on the initiative, Ranganath NK, Managing Director, Grundfos Pumps India Pvt. Ltd., said, “Grundfos India have been directly associated with Indian Industrial market for over 10 years. Our intensive research in the market revealed that in many Engineering industries, there exists a great potential for Energy savings, even in the small and medium range pumps. Grundfos has energy efficient pumps to address this gap.”
“For decades, Indian Industrial end-users were used to conventional low cost but inefficient pumps. Further, the pump recommendations and selections were made more of historic assumptions. Grundfos has the distinction of introducing pump and pump technologies that are very efficient and reliable and did not exist in India. These pumps and systems not only conserve energy but also save space. Moreover, the cost of installation/maintenance and the overall life cycle cost are far lower than the pumps that were in the market. The payback in most cases was a year or lesser”, said Mr. Ranganath.
