SANY India completes first batch of IESC crane operator training

SANY India announced the successful completion of the first batch of IESC Crane Operators Certification Programme conducted by the company. The training was supported by Crane Owners Association of India (COAOI).

IESC has certified SANY India as an authorised training partner. SANY India had also facilitated a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between IESC and COAOI in December last year for skill development. According to the MoU, COAOI is responsible for providing manpower to the companies that are a part of Infrastructure Equipment Skill Council (IESC). Post the training, IESC will provide certificates approved by the Government of India to the operators that have been trained as per their qualification pack.

A group of 15 crane operators, nominated by COAOI went through a rigorous training programme that included topics such as safe operations and maintenance practices, maintenance schedules, controls and operating systems and in-depth product knowledge.

Speaking on the occasion of the certification ceremony, Deepak Garg, CEO, SANY South Asia said, “The most important aspect of this certification programme is that of safety and operations. The crane hiring companies are now competing with their global peers, especially, in the overseas projects. This certification is to highlight the global standards as well as to increase the capabilities of Indian operators. Financing companies and insurance companies too will start asking for these certification programmes in the near future.
