Remsons Industries sets up new plant to power railway innovation

Remsons Industries opens a new facility focused on manufacturing locomotive components, marking its entry into the railway sector with advanced production capabilities.
Remsons Industries Limited, a well-known producer of automotive parts, opens a brand-new, state-of-the-art plant in Chakan, Maharashtra, dedicated to producing high-performance parts for locomotive applications. This move marks a significant milestone in the company’s continued expansion and dedication to providing dependable and environmentally friendly engineering solutions to the railway industry.
Chairman and Managing Director Krishna Kejriwal officially inaugurated the 30,000-square-foot plant in the presence of senior business executives and industry stakeholders. The facility is equipped with automated assembly methods, strong quality control procedures, and contemporary precision engineering technologies, all designed to satisfy the exacting requirements of locomotive operations.
During the inauguration, Krishna Kejriwal, CMD, stated, “This new facility strengthens our position as a trusted partner to the rail industry. We are committed to excellence in innovation, safety, and sustainability, and this plant will enable us to meet the growing demand for high-quality locomotive components both domestically and internationally.”
The key features of the facility include advanced CNC machining capabilities, sheet metal fabrication with integrated welding systems, and a specialised in-house testing and validation laboratory to guarantee adherence to railway industry standards. To ensure high levels of technical expertise and enhance workforce skills, the facility also includes a dedicated training centre.The Chakan facility will produce parts for both freight and passenger rail markets, enhancing the reliability, efficiency, and performance of locomotive systems across the globe.
