Modern Automotives targets new sectors with cold-formed components

Modern Automotives is expanding into system integration and cold-formed components to tap new sectors and target 25% CAGR by FY2031.
Modern Automotives, a major supplier of powertrain, suspension, and chassis components to two-wheeler, passenger car, and commercial vehicle OEMs, aims for a 25% CAGR by FY2031. As part of its aim to become a systems integrator and increase the value of its products, the company has begun producing front fork components for scooters and motorcycles.
Modern Automotives is establishing a cold-forming facility at its main plant in Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab, to improve its manufacturing capabilities. This factory will manufacture cold-formed spline shafts, toothed gears, heat sinks, and deep-extruded gearbox shafts for the automotive, aerospace, defence, electronics, and thermal engineering sectors. The company also intends to increase its forging capacity from 36,000 to 60,000 tonnes by FY2031.
