Atlas Copco introduces a new manufacturing facility in Pune

Atlas Copco Group has opened a new manufacturing facility in Talegaon, Pune, spanning 270,000 sq. ft. The facility will manufacture air and gas compressors and systems, including CNG, biogas, hydrogen compressors, air dryers, generators, and medical filters.

Atlas Copco Group has launched a new manufacturing facility in Talegaon, Pune. Spanning approximately 270,000 sq. ft., the new state-of-the-art plant will manufacture air and gas compressors and systems, including CNG (compressed natural gas), biogas, hydrogen compressors, air dryers, N₂ and O₂ generators and medical filters and accessories. The launch, communicated in 2023, reinforces the Group’s commitment to advancing innovative solutions while delivering high-quality products tailored to the local market.

The manufacturing facility is built on Industry 4.0 principles, integrating smart manufacturing technologies and sustainability. Approximately 80 per cent of the energy required for plant operations will be sourced from a 1.3 MW rooftop solar system and grid supply. The facility includes rainwater harvesting and advanced cooling systems. With a strong focus on support for research and development by Atlas Copco Group, the facility is equipped with multiple testing capabilities to meet both current and future production and product development needs.

The company is certified with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certifications, ensuring the highest quality, safety, environmental and energy standards, supported by a robust internal audit system, quality management systems and Six Sigma methodologies that help improve business processes by reducing errors and increasing efficiency.
