Atlas Copco India bestowed with energy efficiency manufacturing excellence award

Atlas Copco India has won the energy efficiency manufacturing excellence award in the category ‘Industrial Air Compressors’ at the 12th Green Energy Summit and the 4th Green Urja and Energy Efficiency Awards hosted by the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
Atlas Copco India, a prominent player in compressors, vacuum solutions, generators, pumps, power tools, and assembly systems, has been honoured with the Energy Efficiency Manufacturing Excellence Award. Milind Mehta, the National Projects Manager for Applications & Execution at AIF, accepted the award on behalf of Atlas Copco India.

Atlas Copco recently announced the construction of a new manufacturing facility in Pune, as part of its commitment to provide environmentally friendly, energy-efficient, and sustainable solutions. The facility at Pune will be constructed to meet LEED (Leadership in Environmental Energy and Design) criteria. It will rely on solar panels for approximately 80 percent of its energy needs, while three-fourths of the water consumption will be sourced from rainwater harvesting.
The award was felicitated by Ms. Suman Chandra, Director, MNRE, Anil Razdan, Chairman, ICC National Expert Committee on Energy and Former Secretary Power, GOI, Dr. Ashvini Kumar, Former MD SECI and Former Senior Director TERI during February.
