New Technology Centre for DMG/MORI SEIKI India

GILDEMEISTER and MORI SEIKI are expanding their presence in the fast growing Indian market by jointly investing in a new technology center with a large showroom. In Bangalore, extended solutions for the Indian market as well as products to suit precise needs and desires of customers will be presented.
 
Industry Overview
The Indian Market for machine tools has expanded enormously to almost 1.5 billion Euros in 2008. Today, if there is one winner arising from the world’s deepest recession in recent years, it is undoubtedly India. With strong domestic consumption, all sectors including the automotive are doing well therefore indicating better business prospects here.
 
Bangalore is the machine tool capital of India
Before Bangalore became known as the new Silicon Valley over the last ten years, Bangalore was essentially an engineering capital housing the first Indian machine tool companies. Major control manufacturers like well as skilled human resources are based in Bangalore. Their industrial output caters to all sectors of engineering starting from aerospace to die & mould and precision engineering, job shops and automobile production. GILDEMEISTER and MORI SEIKI are expanding their presence in the fast growing Indian market by jointly investing in a new technology center with a large showroom. In Bangalore, extended solutions for the Indian market as well as products to suit precise needs and desires of customers will be presented. Scheduled to function from March 2011, this technology centre is spread across an area of 8,000 square meters and is located in the industrial area of Peenya, Bangalore in Karnataka which houses major industries related to aerospace, die & mould, precision engineering, job shops and automobile production.
