GILDEMEISTER and MORI SEIKI are expanding their presence in the fast growing Indian market by jointly investing in a new technology center with a large showroom. In Bangalore, extended solutions for the Indian market as well as products to suit precise needs and desires of customers will be presented.
The Indian Market for machine tools has expanded enormously to almost 1.5 billion Euros in 2008. Today, if there is one winner arising from the world’s deepest recession in recent years, it is undoubtedly India. With strong domestic consumption, all sectors including the automotive are doing well therefore indicating better business prospects here.

Before Bangalore became known as the new Silicon Valley over the last ten years, Bangalore was essentially an engineering capital housing the first Indian machine tool companies.
